One of my favorite musicians, Caroline Herring, was on NPR's All Things Considered on Saturday. Please listen to the interview, and visit CarolineHerring.com to purchase one of her albums.
she kinda reminds me of lucinda williams. I looked at where she is playing and i think her schedule is out of date. it said she was playing in savannah at the music fest and the date was wrong and i didn't find her on the lineup for this year. bummer.
Casey, I think she played at the Savannah Music Festival last year. THis year it says she is playing at the Savannah Book Festival, and the show looks really interesting. From the Festival website: 8:00 - 10:00 pm Celebrating Eudora Concert, with Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kate Campbell, Caroline Herring and Claire Holley, a tribute to famous southern writer Eudora Welty, Trinity Church
"If we look at the path, we do not see the sky. We are earth people on a spiritual journey to the stars. Our quest, our earth walk, is to look within, to know who we are, to see that we are connected to all things, that there is no separation, only in the mind." - Native American, source unknown

I got the lastest one end of the fall and love it. She never fails.
Lisa, I heard that Saturday and LOVED it! Had never heard of her before, somehow.
Ginger, you'll have to come with me the next time she plays in Jackson. She plays at Hal and Mal's every once in a while.
